performance based installation 2016
Inspired by the concept that a memory is purest when unable to be recalled, this work attempts to preserve passing time in simple notations.
Researching both the limitations of our perception and the ontology of our environment the work sought to explore the borders of our human experience.
“During two weeks Vlamings inhabited project NIX space and created a performance based installation that documented the brief occurrences and fragments of thought and observations that instantaneously pass her by.
The personal annotations slowly transformed the windows into a live report that reflected both the room she inhabited and the world she sees outside the glass -the inner and outer world-, resulting in an installation of linguistic impingements and scale on the glass.”
